MEMBERSHIP – HOW OBTAINED
Every person who desires to become a member of Greater Pineview Pure Holiness Church of God, must repent of their sins and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of sin, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. As members of the body of Christ, which is the true Church (Ephesians 1:22, 23). The Word of GOD declares but one way of entrance therein, this is, “By one spirit are we all baptized into one body.” This is a baptism of “water and spirit.” (I Corinthians 12:12-27; St John 3:3-5; Act 2:1-4, 38-47; Galatians 3:26-28; Romans 6:3, 4).
The membership of a local Pure Holiness Church of GOD shall consist of all persons who have been received into its fellowship on profession of their faith, whether by transfer from another Church, Christian experience or as watch-care candidate.
THE PURPOSE OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP
We believe in praise and worship unto to God. The lifting of our hands is a symbol of opening our mind, soul and heart to yielding to his Praise of Thanksgiving.
PRAISE ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance; praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals; praise him upon the sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150.

WHY DO WE UTILIZE ACTUAL WATER BAPTISM
St Matthew 3:13-17 (NIV/KJV)
Our Lord himself was baptized by John the Baptist in the River of Jordan. Water Baptism is a gospel ordinance commemorating the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ. Water Baptism symbolizes a death to the old life of sin, a burying of the past, and a resurrection to a new life in Christ Jesus.
We believe immersion in water in JESUS name. Immersion as it corresponds to the death , burial and resurrection of our Lord. (Colossians 2:12). Only believers in Christ are entitled to baptism, and only those who give credible evidence of faith in Him should be baptized. This means that infants are excluded from the ordinance. However, we believe that when a child reaches an age of accountability and accepts the Christian Faith, a child should be baptized. Baptism in the days of the Apostles was always by immersion. The word “Baptize” (baptidzo) means “to make a thing dipped or dyed.” “To immerse” for religious purposes; its various form (baptismos – the washing – the act as a fact) shows that only immersion was considered baptism.
